Iona Inspiration

There are only a few things that Bri and I love more than visiting the North Shore of Lake Superior. Something about that place does so much for us. It’s more than just the beauty of its shoreline, waterfalls, and wildlife. Among its busiest seasons one can easily find calm. There’s no such thing as a busy schedule there. It’s as if time doesn’t exist. We’ve gone a whole day without looking at the clock.

Much of our inspiration comes from this place. Even a few of our products are named after our favorite places. The Iona is among them. We’ve spent many hours at Iona’s Beach.  I go back in my mind to the day Bri and I skipped rocks when the water was like glass. Or the day we finally experienced the perfect conditions so we could hear the tinkling rocks as the waves receded.  Experiencing this beach even elevated my ramen lunch I ate to a solid 5 out of 10. You could say this stop has become a habit for us.

Yes, we believe the Iona is a beautiful bag. I can talk about it all day long and show you pictures but, until you spend some time with it, you haven’t experienced the Iona.

We don’t want to badger you with the fact that we use quality materials, or that we work endlessly to design bags that will last for years to come. We desire those things to be understood through your experience, from the day you unbox it, to the day you tag us in your patina photos.

When I leave Iona’s Beach, I know that I’ve experienced its beauty and I know that it was a quality stop.
